Can my loft be converted

Most lofts can be converted as long as there is enough headroom. Bespoke loft conversions can give you advice on the best type of loft conversion for your property, where the stairs will be positioned and any changes to the plumbing system.

The traditional rafter which is the older type of roof is much easier to convert as it has  the headroom required. The majority of houses built before the 60's will have the traditional rafter roof.

The modern trussed roof can also be converted as long as there is a over two metres of headroom halfway across the loft.

  2. I'd absolutely love a loft conversion but I think it's going to be particularly tricky for me as I have a hipped roof. I'm planning on eventually finding out if it can be converted though.
