Velux loft conversions are roof light conversions. These are windows that are fitted to the angle of the roof, leaving the structure of the roof untouched.
This is a very popular type of loft conversion for many people as the roof does not need large modifications, which keeps the cost down and very rarely does planning permission need to be required.
Velux loft conversions are ideal for lofts with a large amount of headroom or if you live in a conservation area. If you have limited height in your loft a mansard or dormer loft conversion would be a better choice.
